Obituary:

Mr. James Monte Ford, Jr, age 44, died Monday, January 25, 2021 in Charlottesville, Va. He was a Nursing Home Regional Liaison.
J. Monte is survived by his parents James Monte Ford, Sr. and Deborah Davis Ford, two aunts, Melva Davis Seay (Jimmie) of Wingate, N.C., and Susan Davis Nemeth of Raleigh, N. C., two uncles, Charles Davis (Ann) of South Hill and Lamarr Ford of Nashville, TN. and his Boxer, Hannah..
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents; Melvin C. Davis and Dorothy Harris Davis, his paternal grandparents; Peggy Ivey Ford and James E. Ford, two aunts ; Joan Ford and Suzanne Ford Laffin and her husband , his uncle, David Laffin.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted in the Spring of 2021 and will be announced here on our website.
The family request memorial contributions to the Lake Country SPCA, P.O. Box 14, Clarksville, VA 23927.

    We were so very saddened to hear the news of J.Monte’s passing. He was such a vibrant young man. We have so many fond memories of him and the wonderful times we experienced through soccer. We will cherish those memories.

    J. Monte was a friend, team mate and great guy. I’m saddened by the loss of such a dynamic person. Although we haven’t stayed in touch after high school, some of my fondest memories on the Patriots and at Spring Valley involved J. Monte. He will be missed by many. Rest well and god bless.

    I was very sorry to hear of J.Monte’s passing. Both of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Such wonderful memories with all of you from church to soccer games to study sessions as we got older. J.Monte will be missed.

  6. My condolences to the family. J. Monte was my classmate and part of the Spring Valley graduating class of 95′. I remember him as a very cool, sweet spirit that was very accepting of all people.
