Obituary:

Mrs. Mary Parrish Edmonds, age 78 of La Crosse died Monday, September 20, 2021 in VCU/Community Memorial Hospital. She was a former Correctional Officer for the Virginia Department of Corrections, a former employee of La Crosse Sportswear and the widow of Marshall Edmonds.
Mary is survived by a daughter Karen Meyers and a son Scott Reese both of La Crosse , a brother James Milton Parrish of La Crosse , half-sisters; Gloria Conner and Nell Frye; her step children Sharon Mauck (Randy) Independence, Va. , Melissa Claiborne (Mark) of Boydton, Andy Edmonds (Judy) of Boydton, George Edmonds (Amanda) of Skipwith and James Edmonds of Boydton, several grands and step grandchildren , four great grandchildren and one step great grandchild. Mary was predeceased by a sister Catherine Bottoms and two half-sisters Mary Frances Roberts and Julia Depoy and three half-brothers; Gary, Ray and Glenn Hudson. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home. Memorial; contributions in Mary’s name may be made to Mooseheart, c/o Moose Charities, Inc., 155 S. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539-1100, the Mecklenburg County Cancer Association, MCCA , P.O. Box 311, Chase City, Va. 23924 or any fire department of your choice.
