Mr. Herbert Lawson Dawson, age 82, of McKenney, died on Tuesday November 2, 2021. He was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Mr. Dawson is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Dawson of McKenney; his five children: Janice Carpenter of Dinwiddie (John), Herbert J. Dawson , Jr. of Alberta (Wanda), Betty D. Jones of McKenney (Cameron), Cathy Dawson of Dinwiddie and William Edward “Sonnie” Maitland, Jr. of Warfield (Jean) and his many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren including two of his grandchildren: Lisa and Chelsie, who were his care takers. Mr. Dawson also had another special care taker, Dee. Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his son, Donald Wayne Dawson. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday November 8th at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
