Mrs. Laura Ann Royster King

Mrs. Laura Ann Royster King, age 90, of La Crosse, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She was the retired food service director for VCU Community Memorial Hospital and the widow of William H. Royster and Thelbert W. King. Mrs. Royster is survived by her five daughters: Carolyn Clements and her husband Wade of Richmond, Mary Thompson and her husband Marvin “Monk” of Prince George, Nancy Laws of South Hill, Susan Jones and her husband Jerry of La Crosse and Shelia Wharam and her husband Terry of Dinwiddie; her ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. Royster-King was preceded in death by her son, William H. “Billy” Royster, Jr. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 2nd at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ephesus Baptist Church at 1642 Smith Cross Road, South Hill, VA 23970. Online condolences may be made through our webpage, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
