Obituary:

Mrs. Nancy Dawson Tanner, age 78, of South Hill, died on Thursday April 21, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Tanner was a retired employee of Narricott Industries and the widow of Roy G. Tanner. Mrs. Tanner is survived by her two sons: Russell Scott Tanner and his wife Lisa of La Crosse and Stoney Wayne Tanner and his wife Angie of La Crosse; her daughter, Rhonda T. Crafton of La Crosse; her brother, Willie Dawson of Alabama; her two sisters: Shirley Osterbind of Richmond and Peggy Blalock of Baskerville; her best friend, Wayne Bottoms of South Hill; her six grandchildren: Cory, Amber, Tyler, Chelsey, Sydney and Camden and her four great-grandchildren. A private service will take place at Crestview Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.     The sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Nancy. She was one sweet lady. I always like chatting with her at Food Lion or Walmart. She was really good friends with my aunt Betty. I know she will be missed.

    My beautiful, loving aunt. She treated me just like her own daughter and I loved her just like my own mama. I will miss her so much. All my love to Wayne, Rusty, Rhonda, Stony and all of the grandchildren she loved so much.
