Obituary:

Mr. Robert Kenneth Ellis, age 75, of South Hill, died on Friday June 3, 2022. He was a retired mail carrier for the United State Postal Service and a decorated Army Vietnam Veteran who received the Bronze Star as well as the Silver Star. Mr. Ellis is survived by his daughter, Roxanne Ellis Pearson of Wilmington, NC; his son, Daniel Robert Ellis of Hendersonville, NC; his two sisters: Brenda Keister of South Hill and Rebecca Martineau of Alexandria; his three grandchildren: William Howard, James Pearson and Emily Ellis and his Loving niece and nephews: Shannon Facchina, David Keister, Brian Dewey and Craig Dewey. The family wishes to thank Mr. Ellis's long time nurse, Debbie Janson and care givers, Loretta Smith and Kimberly McGinnis for their loving care. Services will be private.   1. Daddy, I miss you more than you can possibly know. I know that you would be so happy to know that you are continuing to help others! Buttons is happy, but he misses you, too. Your passion flower is blooming and it is really very beautiful! We have taken lots of clippings and passed them out, so your plant will live on in many different homes in Virginia and North Carolina. I love you so much.
