Wendell Leondias House

07/24/1954 - 08/28/2022

Obituary:

On August 28, 2022, God decided to add another flower to His heavenly garden and chose Wendell Leondias House. On July 24, 1954, he was born to the late Coley House and Naomi Thomas House. His brothers, James and Bobby along with his daughter, Laura House all preceded him in death.
When Wendell was at an early age, he confessed his faith in Jesus Christ by being baptized and joining Good Hope Baptist Church. He recently began attending Lake Gaston Christian Life Center in Ebony. He found comfort in singing his favorite hymn, “No Tears in Glory.” He was married to Beatrice Baskerville. To this union three children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, LaKeisha and Leondias; two brothers, Sterling and Calvin; three sisters, Patricia, Shirley and Lillian; two grandchildren, Jasiah and Natherland Turner; one aunt, Annie Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins (especially Angela and Ronnie); friends (especially Carolyn Newell), and many other loved ones. Wendell enjoyed just being outside, working on vehicles, and showing love to his four-legged companions, JoJo and Kobe. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

We watched you slowly pass away, We prayed so hard for you to stay, But now we realize that God knows best, So he called you from your suffering that you might rest.
