  1. childhood friend

My deepest sympathy to Herbert Jr., family. May the Great Comforter hold each of them a little closer as He walks with them along this path in life called grief.

Herbert Jr. and I were childhood friends and played together when his parents would come to Union Level to visit family and friends.

  2. Always ready with a smile

He was a very kind man and was always willing to listen. He loved his family first and foremost. Our condolences go out to the family. May the Lord surround you with his love always.

  3. Herbert always made you laugh when you talked to him. He was a good and kind hearted man. He always loved getting letters from me about our classmates from South Hill High School. May God be with his family in the months ahead without him. Lots of love from my home to yours
