I was so sorry to hear of Irene’s passing. Out of all my great uncles and aunts Alfred and Irene were the only ones I was close to. Loved going to the family reunions to see them . Irene would always make you laugh and Alfred would try squeeze me to death with his bear hugs. Irene was a good person who will be missed by all who knew her. My prayers are for the good lord to give her family the strength to get through this difficult time.

  5. Alfred and Family

I was so saddened to hear today about Irene’s passing. Irene was a one of a kind lady and remarkable at that. I always appreciated her forthrightness. I never had to guess where I stood with Irene. Working with you guys in Mecklenburg I came to appreciate you and knew that you all were special people. I would like to think of you all as extended family. I am praying for you all in this very difficult time and I pray the comfort of God’s Spirit will be with you and grant you His Grace while wrapping His arms around you. Irene leaves a big void to fill as she could be bigger than life. Reflecting back, I recall all the wonderful laughs we had together and yes, sometimes she had to put me in my place too, lol. She will be missed and I pray you guys experience God’s peace through it all. We love you guys and send our deepest and most heartfelt condolences.
