Obituary:

Mrs. Bertha Barbour Pigg, age 87, of South Hill, died on Thursday March 23, 2023. She was the widow of Benjamin T. Pigg, Sr. and is survived by her son, Benjamin T. Pigg, Jr. (Ginny) of Mount Carol, PA; her daughter, Debra P. Watson of Boydton; her brother, Roger Barbour of Basset; her two sisters: Margaret Harris of Martinsville and Joyce Sowers (Alvin) of Axton; her eight grandchildren: Crystal Walker (Dale), Jamie Watson, Benjamin Pigg, lll (Melanie), Jason Pigg, Shannon Murphy (Matt), Robert Murphy, Sean Murphy (Barbara) and Thomas Murphy (Kelly) and her many loving great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Carie Barbour; two grandsons: Earl Watson, Jr. and David Pigg; her son-in-law, Earl J. Watson, Sr.; two brothers and three sisters. A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Sunday March 26th at 2:00 P.M. in Oakwood Cemetery, South Hill. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
