Obituary:

Mr. Eugene P. King, age 84, of La Crosse, died Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Chippenham Hospital, Richmond, VA. He was a retired Electronics Senior Chief with the United States Navy. Mr. King is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Betty Walker King; a daughter, Vicky King (Randy) of Forsyth, GA; a son John King of Yorktown, VA; a sister Elizabeth Whitener of Gasburg, VA; four grandchildren Michael Shane King, Sarah Marie Giovannetti, John Scott King and Tori Allison King; seven great grandchildren Abbigail Weems, Gabriel, Caitlin, Emily, John and Millie Ruth Giovannetti and Marcus King and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with internment in Oakwood Cemetery in South Hill with American Legion Post #79 military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
