Iris Marie Edmonds

Mrs. Iris Marie Edmonds, age 80, of Brodnax, died on Wednesday May 3, 2023. She was a retired transportation coordinator for the John H. Northington Workshop. Mrs. Edmonds is survived by her husband of 63 years, Franklin Andrew “Frank” Edmonds of Brodnax; her two daughters: Sabrina Martin, (Billy) of South Hill and Patricia Lynn Edmonds of La Crosse; her son, Franklin Eugene Edmonds of Brodnax; her sister, Eunice Cogbill of Petersburg; her three grandchildren: Brandon Lee Edmonds, Chris Hall (Wendy) and Cassie Cross (Brandon) and her three great-grandchildren: Carleigh Hall, Justin Hall and River Cross. Mrs. Edmonds was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Ida Edmonds; her two sisters: Bernice Poythress and Lois Queen and her brothers; Sonny, Vernon, Kenneth & Dennis Edmonds. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday May 7th at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Edmond’s name may be made to Sanford Memorial Baptist Church at 361 Church Street, Brodnax, VA 23920; The La Crosse Volunteer Fire Department at P.O. Box 38, La Crosse, VA 23950 or the Southside Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 546, South Hill, VA 23970. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
