  1. Wallace and family,

    So sorry for your loss – I’ll be praying for all Mike’s family today as you gather to say goodbye and trust him to God until we are all reunited.

    My mind, like so many other’s, go to the ball field – the friendship, the competition, the fun.

    With some license then, I submit this verse from the hymn, ‘Come Thou Fount of every Blessing’ where the word ‘home’ is evocative of where I know he is now and what I did my best to prevent him reaching on the ballfield : )

    Here I raise my Ebenezer;
    Hither by Thy help I’ve come;
    And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
    Safely to arrive at home.

    He has safely arrived at home!

  9. Great memories

    I was sad to learn of the passing of Mike today.
    My first year out of college I taught and coached at PVHS, and Mike, Wallace, and their parents practically adopted me.
    I will remember Mike as a hard worker and a young man that always had a smile on his face. Think about that definitely puts a smile on my face now.
    My thoughts, prayers, and love go out to Mike’s family and friends at this difficult time.
