Mrs. Shirley Estes Watts, age 74, of Chesterfield died January 23, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Watts was a teacher in the Virginia Public School System for 37 years, ending her career in the Chesterfield County Public Schools. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Allen Watts, a daughter, Katherine Watts of Mechanicsville (and her sweet grand dogs: Tanner and Scout) a son, Scott Watts (Deidre) of Midlothian, two grandchildren, Evan and Berkleigh, five sisters; Betty E. Ballard (Joe) of Chesterfield, Sarah E. Calhoun (Chuck) of South Hill, Sandra E. Nemeth (Kenny) of South Hill, Linda E. Shelton of Bracey, Velva E. Kindley (Larry) of Buffalo Junction, and a brother-in-law Charles Wright of South Hill. Mrs. Watts was predeceased by her parents, Cabell and Christine Estes, her two sisters, Mary Cabell Estes Goodwyn and Marilyn Estes Wright, two brothers-in-law, Courtney Lee Goodwyn and William A. Shelton III, M. D. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, January 26, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Crestview Memorial Park. A visitation will take place before the service from 12:30 until time of service. Online condolences may be sent through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
