Obituary:

Mr. Victor Wayne Simmons, Sr., age 74, of South Hill, died on Monday March 11, 2024 in his home. He was a self-employed truck driver and a United States Army Vietnam Veteran who was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Simmons of South Hill; his son, Vic Simmons, Jr. and his wife Nicky of Lunenburg; his daughter, Amy Green of Chesterfield; his six grandchildren: Tori Simmons, Dustin Simmons, Lily Parks, Brody Parks, Kinley Parks and Ara Green; his brother, Marvin Simmons of Boydton; his two sisters: Dorothy Meade of Boydton and Lila Foster of Boydton and his many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of life service will be conducted on Friday March 15th at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with full American Legion Post 79 military honors. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Methodist Church at 3311 South Hill Road, Kenbridge, VA 23944. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
