Gone too soon
Gerard was a friend from college who I met in our Sophmore year. He made it clear that he cared deeply about the people in his life. I won’t forget his jokes, gentle demeanor, and hanging out with our friends at UT. I am glad to have had moments where we caught up during the last 9 years. Rest in peace, I hope you’ve found boundless love Gerard. Condolences to the Santiago family.
A Bright Soul
Gerard had a side to him that was quiet, kind, adventurous, and brave. He was able to accomplish so many things in such a short time. He travelled and experienced so many cultures around the world, something he probably learned from his mom. I won’t forget our conversation about how brave he was to go places where no one knows him, walk an unknown path, and conquer what he needed to. And I won’t forget his sweet smile when he would talk in that quiet voice of his, as he remembered good people and good times. Rest in Peace Gerard. Condolences to his friends and all his family.
Lost But Never Alone
My heart is with the entire Santiago family. Gerard was an exceptional human, full of life and curiosity. I’m grateful to have been able to know him and call him a friend during his brief time on this earth. May his soul rest in peace. He will be deeply missed. <3
Short lived friendship- long last memory
I became friends with Gerard for a short period of time in college. Our friend group bonded over similar grievances we had with our dorm and we all made the best of it. There is always one memory I think about every now and then. One night we were all listening to music. “Lose Yourself to Dance” by Daft Punk came on and we all simply danced together to this song. Every time I hear this song, I think of him and that night. I’m incredibly disheartened to hear of Gerard’s passing. Gone too soon. My biggest condolences to his loved ones.
