Mr. Christopher Darnell Jackson

Mr. Christopher Darnell Jackson, age 54, of Brodnax, died on Wednesday April 24, 2024 in VCU Medical Center, Richmond. He worked for his family business in Brodnax, Ricky’s Exxon and was a long time firefighter for the Brodnax Volunteer Fire Department. Darnell is survived by his spouse, Chris Cotman of Brodnax; his mother, Bonnie T. Jackson of Brodnax; his two brothers: Todd Jackson and his wife Pam and Heath Jackson and his wife Amy; his sister, Tanya Jackson-Baskerville; his niece, Amber Jackson; his nephew, Keshawn Baskerville and his great nephew, Brantley Inge whom he loved and cherished. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 27th at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Canaan Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Darnell’s name may be made to the Brodnax Volunteer Fire Department at 724 Piney Pond Road, Brodnax, VA 23920. His personality was so unique, he could make anyone laugh & he would tell you just like it is. He had a way with words that would make you laugh! He will truly be missed my many. He told me one night when I called for him to cut me some bologna that I needed a number of how thick I wanted it so he gave me 6 and that what I always got lol. He always had something funny to say.
