Obituary:

Mrs. Marian Jones King, age 84, died at Bon Secours Hospice House in Richmond, Virginia on April 27, 2024. Mrs. King is survived by a daughter Sheryl K. Meade of Chesterfield, two sons; William Douglas Cobb (Zoe) of Chesterfield and Keith Everett Cobb (Lynn) of Sandston, three sisters; Catherine Strouth of Iowa, Dorothy Gibson of Lawerenceville, Jane Haddock of Penwood, NC, 6 grandchildren Adrienne Cobb Laurie of Midlothian, Megan Meade of Chesterfield, Travis Meade, Alex Meade, Forrest Meade and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. King is predeceased by Rev. Harry Byrd Jones, Charles Edward King, Kristi Cobb and Ann Peavler. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Crowder – Hite – Crews Funeral Home with a visitation to be held thirty minutes before the service starting at 1:30 P.M. Burial in Crestview Memorial Park. The King Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association at 2451 Crystal Dr., Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.   1. Growing up friends

    I’m sorry to hear about Marian’s passing.Life in Brunswick County was good when we were younger. I will not be able to attend Wednesday, much to my sorrow.I have a group of ladies coming for lunch and crafts, a church group. Hold dear to your good memories and may God give you comfort.

    So sorry to hear of the loss of Maren I have Fond memories when Maren and my mom used to talk they had good times now she can join my mom in heaven . May they rest in peace
