Mrs. Lillie Allen Floyd

Mrs. Lillie Allen Floyd, age 96, of La Crosse died Friday, May 10, 2024 at Pine View Assisted Living. She was the co-owner of Reese Motor Company and their beloved secretary. Mrs. Floyd was a gifted seamstress, quilter and ceramist, opening her basement craft shop to friends and neighbors. She was known for painting realistic and beautiful faces on animals, dolls and snow babies. She was also a member of La Crosse Town Council, making significant contributions including leadership of the La Crosse Cemetery expansion project, to the spearheading of the La Crosse Centennial Celebration. Mrs. Floyd is survived by her daughter, Charlene Just of La Crosse, a sister, Dorothy Tollerson of Boydton, two grandchildren; Dr. J. Scott Just (Casey) of Afton, VA and Stacey J. Sengewalt of Charlotte, NC, four great-grandchildren; Spencer and Caroline Just and Jacob and Eva Sengewalt. Mrs. Floyd was predeceased by her son-in-law Joe Just, two brothers Will Allen and Earl Allen and a sister Minnie Rogers. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in La Crosse Cemetery. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. Charlene,so sorry for your loss…Ms. Lillie was a sweet person…always enjoyed conversations with her while living in Lacrosse..She would come out real often when I walked past her house and visit a few minutes..Thoughts are with all of you…
