James Howard Hood

Mr. James Howard Hood, age 90 of South Hill, died Sunday, June 23, 2024 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a Chemical Engineer for BASF.
Jim is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years Irene Dean Hood of the home, a daughter Barbara Hood of South Hill, two sons: William Howard Hood of Tryon , NC and James Edward Hood of South Hill, two sisters, Patricia Gregory of Portsmouth, VA and Carolyn Sue Campbell of Buckhannon, WVA, six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Russell Hood.
His funeral service will be private in the Hood Family Cemetery at the home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Hood family.
