Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Lynn, Jr.

Mr. James Edward “Jimmy” Lynn, Jr., age 76, of Union Level, died on Wednesday August 28, 2024 in his home surrounded by his family. Jimmy was a retired employee of VCU Community Memorial Hospital and a long time active member of the Southside Rescue Squad as well as a Life member of the Southside Rescue Squad. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Lynn of Union Level; his three sons: Edward S. Lynn of Bracey (Bridget), Hunter Lynn of Union Level and Bradley Lynn of Union Level; his son by choice, Joseph Edenbeck of Bracey (Samantha); his brother by choice, Ricky Thomason of Dolphin and his two grandchildren: Bryson Berry and Jessie Edenbeck. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday August 31st at 2:00 P.M. in New Hope Baptist Church, South Hill. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 546, South Hill, VA 23970. I knew Jimmy long time ago at started cmh. He was the Cpr instructor and did a very good job .He was a good teacher.I am very sorry to hear about him. My condolence to his family. May God bless you all and hold each of you in your time of need.

I just learned of Jimmy’s passing. He was always so friendly when he came through the pickup line at SHE years ago. Please accept my sympathy. May God be with everyone as you travel the road ahead.
