Fred Charles Smith, 97 passed away September 11th, 2024. He was a retired New Jersey State Trooper. He was preceded in death by his son Gary Smith. He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Luise and his 2 sons, Fred (Mickey) Smith & wife Beth & Randy Smith. He has 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Fred was a lifelong resident of New Gretna, NJ until moving to Lake Gaston 3 years ago to live with his son Mickey & Beth. Interment will be in the New Jersey State Columbarium on October 16th. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Smith family.
