Mary Hostetter Parrish

Mrs. Mary Hostetter Parrish , age 80, of South Hill, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in the Hundley Center. She was a homemaker and the widow of Johnnie James Parrish, Jr.
Mrs. Parrish is survived by two sons; Johnnie J. Parrish III and his wife Tammy and Sidney Scott Parrish and his wife Beth both of Bracey, a daughter Mary Melissa Shelp of Lawrenceville , three brothers; Robert Hostetter of South Hill, Calvin Hostetter of Baskerville and Carson Hostetter of Georgia, nine grandchildren , nine great grandchildren, Four sisters-in-law Edna, Betty, Catherine and Joan Hostetter.
She was predeceased by five brothers; Donald Michael Hostetter, Eugene Hostetter, Jr., Jerry Wayne Hostetter, Joe Hostetter, Charles “Ricky” Hostetter and a sister Elizabeth Charlotte Thompson .
A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, October 6, 2024 in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with interment in Canaan Cemetery. The family will receive friends also on Sunday from 12:30 P.M. until the hour of service.

Cousin
Mary was such a sweet and thoughtful person and a dear cousin. She never forgot a birthday or special occasion card and always included a personal note. She will be missed by many people. Prayers to family.
