Mr. Richard Danford Wade
01/23/1953 - 07/15/2026
Richard Danford “Ricky” Wade (Alabama), 73, of Bracey, Virginia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 23, 1953, in Munford, Alabama, he was the beloved son of Lester Wade and MaeLene Wade. Ricky was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and lived his life guided by his unwavering faith. His love for the Lord was evident in the way he treated others—with kindness, humility, and compassion. Above all else, Ricky treasured his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren, who were truly the light of his life and his greatest blessing. For 53 wonderful years, Ricky shared a faithful and loving marriage with his beloved wife, Mary House Wade. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary; his daughters, Kim Adcock (Robbie) and Crystal Barnette (Chris); his son, Brian Turner; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Ben Adcock, Owen Barnette, Weston House, and Casey, Dakota, and Logan Turner; his brothers, Tommy Wade (Karen) and Jerry Wade (Cindy); his sister-in-love, Brenda Jones (Shelton); his brothers-in-love, Emory House Jr. (Debbie) and Ricky House (Tammy); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever remember his gentle spirit and steadfast love. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and MaeLene Wade; his father- and mother-in-love, Emory and Corene House; his sister, Malinda Humphries; and his brother-in-love, Earl House. Though his family grieves his absence, they find comfort in knowing that Ricky’s faith has become sight and that he is now in the presence of the Savior he loved so deeply. His legacy of faith, love, and devotion to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A Celebration of Ricky’s Life will be held on Saturday July 18th at 3:00 P.M. in New Hope Baptist Church, South Hill, with interment to follow in Canaan Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 2:00 until service time in the church. Online condolences may be sent through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Wade family. “Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord”; — Matthew 25:23
