Mrs. Iris Walker Leibforth

Mrs. Iris Walker Leibforth, age 90, of South Hill, died on Thursday February 29, 2024 in Pine View Rest Home. She was a retired employee of the former Peebles Corporate office and the Virginia Welcome Center. Mrs. Leibforth is survived by her daughter, Robin Champion and her husband Steve of Raleigh, NC; her son, Randy Leibforth of Athens, GA; her sister, Betty Marie King of Forsyth, GA and her four grandchildren: John Champion, Kyle Champion, Lauren Leibforth and Kelley Leibforth. Mrs. Leibforth was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Leibforth; her two daughters: Sandra Smelley Leibforth and Katharine Leibforth Petersen and her two sisters: Mary Luke Martin Treiber and Martha Stevens. A Celebration of Mrs. Leibforth’s life will be held on Saturday March 9, 2024 at La Crosse Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Iris's name to the LaCrosse Baptist Church, P.O. Box 40, LaCrosse, VA 23950. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Leibforth family.

My heart breaks for you. Aunt Iris was a beautiful, graceful woman. She was the epitome of a classic southern woman with her sweet smile and gentleness. She will be so missed by all of us. I wish I could have come to see her once more. You have my deepest heartfelt sympathy. If you need anything, please call me. We love you.
