Mr. Ronnie Melvin Gittman, age 71, of Brodnax, passed away on Sunday August 16, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. Ronnie is survived by his eight siblings: Rose Finch and her husband Charles of Dolphin, Kay Randolph and her husband Bolling of Brodnax, Carolyn Cline of Brodnax, Lee Roy Gittman and his wife Joyce of Dolphin, Ed Gittman of Dolphin, Mattie Callahan and her husband Kenneth of Brodnax, Virginia Bottoms and her husband Bernard of Brodnax and Shirley Bottoms of Brodnax; his friend, Sylvia Hayes of North Carolina and his many loving nieces and nephews, including Jennifer Bradley. May the Lord bring peace and comfort to the family and friends in this time of need.
I will always remember Ronnie and his siblings growing up together riding bus to school. Ronnie never knew a stranger and would help anyone in need. I will miss you driving through the neighborhood but I will see you again. You are at peace now.
