Hi Minnie. Jan and I were so very sorry to hear of your loss and heavens gain. You know how much we both loved Roy. Denauvo had a special relationship with Roy as a friend and as a client. 5. Dear Minnie --- Our prayers are with you on Roy's passing

Such a great guy! He lived life to the fullest with a great sense of humor. I met Roy in 1957 in Asmara, Eritrea — both of us very young sailors (18 year olds, serving our country [but having a great time while at it]). Our paths went in different directions when I left Asmara August 1958. But that’s not the end of the story — Roy was the catalyst for getting a bunch of these young guys together approximately 50 years later — great reunions at the Outer Banks, Branson & The Villages over the next few years.
Roy The Kid is gone now & will be missed, but the memory of our get-togethers rehashing old memories of Asmara and new ones established 50+ years later will always be remembered & cherished.

He fought the good fight and is now with his Saviour.

  6. Dear Minnie….. I was so sorry to learn of Roy’s passing. We lost a bright light on earth, but I know he will be shining even brighter from heaven on all of us. He was a wonderful man. I know you have the support and comfort from many friends and family. much love to you. Please be in touch when you can.

  7. Roy Kidd – Mr. Kidd when we first met as a kid in Mechanicsville, and then later Roy as I became an adult. He was a very special man to me and my family. Always fun to be around with a joke and a smile and a piece of advice. Always loved hanging around him and dad and listening to them pick on each other or tell stories and jokes about the fun times over the years. Whenever the families got together everyone always ate good and had a great time. When Roy and Minnie got together she was a bonus to the family and we loved having her by his side. Truly great memories from being around Roy Kidd!
