  1. I was saddened to learn of Mike’s passing. I worked with him for 14 Years at the Mecklenburg County Jail when I was the counselor. He truly was a big man, not just in his profession, but in the community as well. He will be missed

  2. SINCERE SYMPATHY

Heaven gained another angel on Monday. Sending his family my deepest sympathy in your loss. May God be with each of you in the months ahead without him. Lots of love from my home to yours.

  3. To the family of Big Ike

So sorry about Big Ike , my heart is with you all during this time. To Kendall and Aaron and the rest of family I send my thoughts and prayers as well as my love.
Big Ike was a good friend, we first meet back in the late 80’s as he was put on Sunday night with me on SSRS. I learned from big Ike to be kind hearted and loving to everyone. We kept each other entertained and level headed. He was a excellent provider and had compassion for every patient. He will surely be missed by this community and his second family Southside Rescue Squad.
I am sorry i will not be able to make it to the service tomorrow, due to having to work. But know my heart and thoughts are with you during this time.
If you need anything please let myself or Diane know.
Big Ike we love you brother till we meet again !!

    With love
    Johnny & Diane Moretz

  6. Loss of Mike

My dear Lucy, Robert and Sylvia, you know I am holding you in my heart and prayers. I know Mike and Bob are having a grand reunion.
And Kendall and Aaron, Be very proud of your father. He was a GOOD MAN. I’ve known him off and on for almost 40 years, ever since I took my first EMT course. And we worked together at CMH west wing and Pavilion and I think, Patient Transport. So I know what a good person he was. He will be missed by the community. Love June
