Mr. Paul Arthur Sullivan

Mr. Paul Arthur Sullivan, age 74, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Medical Facility in Richmond, VA. Paul was a very devout Christian who had so much love for his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose C. Sullivan of South Hill, VA; his two sons: Michael Paul (Jennifer) Sullivan and Samuel Robertson (Stephanie) Sullivan of South Hill, VA; Also surviving are his five grandchildren: Jada Scott Sullivan, Emmersen Grace Sullivan, Jackson Bishop Sullivan, Samuel Jobe Sullivan and Carter Mattox Sullivan and one great grandchild, Daxton Scott Field; his sister, Gwendolyn Sullivan of Washington, NC; his brother, Samuel Hilton Sullivan (Julie) of Williamston, NC and several nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Rhoda Sullivan and a brother, Gene Swindell Sullivan. Special recognition to his caregivers, Elaine Piercy, Sabrina Daniel and N’finitee Hicks. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, South Hill Masonic Lodge 297, Past Master and District Deputy Grand Master, The South Hill Shrine Club, the American Legion, the South Hill Chapter of Job’s Daughters and participated in the lunch buddies program at South Hill Elementary School. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 23875 Highway 47, South Hill, VA 23970 with Masonic Rites. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full American Legion Post 79 Military honors. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Church Social Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Scholarship Fund, c.o. South Hill Masonic Lodge #297, 508 N. Thomas Street, South Hill, VA 23970 or to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1212 Chalk Level Road, South Hill, VA 23970 or Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. God definitely gained an angel when he called Paul Sullivan home. He was one of the nicest men I have ever known. May God go with each member of his family in the months ahead without him. Lots of love from my home to yours.

This is such a sad thing to hear. No matter what time, nor where you saw this gentleman, he always had a smile on his face. He was a truly, overall nice person with a good attitude. Surely will miss his personality. My heart goes out to the family. I know you are proud of him. Truly blessed to have known him. God bless and prayers for yall during this difficult time.
