  2. Condolences from the Lamberts

Garland, Nelson, Elaine and the entire Baird Family:

Sarah and I send you love and encouragement by way of our prayers. Ms. Baird was a strong woman, and she was a huge influence in my life when Josh and I were at Brodnax UMC as kids. I always enjoyed saying hello to her later in life, whether it was at my grandma’s house, at Brian’s when she walked over to see me at my table, or anywhere else in town. I will also never forget when S.J. died in 2013, we returned home the next day, and Ms. Baird was the first one there to meet us in Brodnax with a full meal of food! And every bit of it was delicious. She was strong, and she was generous, and I know you are proud that she left such a legacy for you to carry on. I am proud to have known her and we will continue lifting you up in prayer.

Just know the wonderful memories of times each and everyone one of you shared with your wife, mother or grandmother will be what will help get you through the hard times and she will live forever in your hearts.

My heartfelt best wishes , comfort and prayers go out to every member of Ruby Joyce’s family, as well as all the members of Brodnax UMC. I was so blessed to be assigned to BUMC when God first called me into ministry ten years ago. Ruby Joyce was as welcoming and helpful as she could be, as were the rest of the family members who became family during my time with them.. I will miss her greatly, and rejoice that she is free of pain, and is now playing the piano for , and singing in, God’s heavenly choir.. I pray she rests in peace when she hears God tell her, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Ruby Joyce , I will always love and miss you, as well as being thankful for all your help to me as a rookie pastor. God trully blessed and graced us with an eager, loyal servant. Much love, Pastor Pam
