To Sylvia and Wallace and all of Travis’ family, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences. I had the great pleasure of having Travis in my Cub Scout den for a brief time in his youth and I remember his exuberance and desire to learn and participate. I enjoyed watching him on the baseball field for many years as well.
Travis will never be truly gone as long as he is remembered, so he will be with us all for many years to come.
Deep sympathies to the Dawson family. Our prayers will be with you during this very challenging time in your lives. May God give you the peace that Travis is safe in the arms of Jesus.

Dear Sylvia & Wallace,
My heart just broke for you when I heard this sad news. I am holding you all in prayer: all the Parkers, all the Dawsons, the grandmas, and especially the children of Travis & Dawn as well as their extended maternal family & all the many friends of Travis. I will continue to hold Dawn & all of you in my prayers throughout the coming weeks & months.
Reading his obituary I could see so many of the wonderful qualities of his parents reflected in the life of Travis and the messages about him left on this tribute site. May the treasured memories along with the love of friends and family help you through the days ahead. Losing someone so dear to you so very unexpectedly is extremely traumatic. Be gentle with yourselves & each other. You will still hear his voice and see Travis in your dreams and may that bring some comfort to your hearts. Love never dies..,

Words can’t express the sadness that we feel for your loss. Travis was a wonderful person who left his mark with every person he talked with. He will be missed but for now take solace that he is in the arms of Jesus and surrounded by every loved one that passed before him and in our own time we will meet again. For now take comfort in knowing that we love all the remaining family and all of you will be forever in our thoughts and prayers.
I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Travis. He and I played baseball together from Dixie Youth all the way through high school at Park View. Although we lost touch over the years, those memories from the ball fields will last forever. My condolences to his family.
Profound Grief
“The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again, but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to.”
Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
Words can never express the sadness of this passing. I fondly remember Travis as a boy playing with Jason. They would rip around the house horsing around and getting into mischief. Travis grew up to become a wonderful loving man and will certainly be missed. My sympathies are with Dawn, children and Wallace and Sylvia. Prayers continue for all of you.
