Mrs. Cheryl Devonne Woodard

Mrs. Cheryl Devonne Woodard, age 70, of North Chesterfield and Bracey, Virginia, died on Friday December 30, 2022 in her Bracey home surrounded by her family. She was a retired employee of the Virginia Department of Corrections, Juvenile division and the widow of Norris Davis. Mrs. Woodard is survived by her four children: Harley Thomas Shabenas, Sr. of Richmond, DeVonne Shabenas Powers of Richmond, Frances Shabenas Dunn of Bracey and Andrew Thomas Shabenas, Jr. of South Hill; her thirteen grandchildren: Harley, Jr. (Miranda), Patrick, Landon, Cheryl, Donnie, Cassie, Rachel, Bobby, Zoe, Skyla, Tori, Nakkia and Andrew lll; her four great-granddaughters: Annabella, Katrina, Aspyn and Nor; her sister, Dorothy Wiggins of LaGrange, North Carolina and her “fur baby” pet dog, Jake. Grandma 💔
I miss you… I miss you more then anything.. I was so lucky to have been your granddaughter, and to have you as my grandma.. a couple weeks ago was your anniversary. It’s not been easy without you.. as the days go by the more and more I grieve you.. I miss your smile, your laugh, the advise you’d give, the big warm tight hugs, the kisses on my cheeks, the way you’d call me nubby, no matter how old I got you always let me sit on your lap, even after all the hip replacements and the pain.. you always made sure I knew I was loved.. the pain in my heart Wil never go away.. I love you bunches ❤️❤️
Devonne was one of my very best friends in school. I have many great memories. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
