  1. So sorry for your loss, Nancy. Bob was a good friend and decent, genuine good guy. He also had a great sense of humor. As a coach and a teacher, based on what I’ve heard, he was outstanding. I was so happy when I retired from Babe Ruth baseball because Bob took over as head coach. I knew the boys were in good hands. My son-in-law, Robert Mearns, who played football in middle school for Bob, said he learned the most from Bob and applied what he learned in becoming an excellent high school player. He also respected Bob, a great deal. Bob had such a strong wonderful impact on so many lives as a coach, father, husband, teacher and friend. Prayers go out to you and your family.

  3. Dear Nancy and family,
I was so surprised to learn of Bob’s passing. You two were such an important part of First UMC, especially to the choir, and we certainly appreciated Bob’s directing us!
As with many school teachers and coaches, Bob reached young people in countless ways you didn’t know. You will continue to hear stories as the years pass from those who were touched by his leadership, friendship and encouragement.
May you feel God’s Presence with you as you walk THROUGH this difficult time.
God bless you, and your dear family.

  16. Saddened

Condolences to The Bradshaw family, Mr. Bradshaw touched so many lives in Buckhannon as a teacher and coach. I met him in Middle school band, and then again on the baseball field.
He taught me how to throw a “Knuckle ball” that streaked havoc on our opponents. But most important he showed up, and cared enough to encourage and lift up everyone he came in contact with. That’s how I remember Bob.
    RIP COACH
