Mr. James Albert Simmons

Mr. James Albert Simmons, age 80, of Chase City, died on Friday April 7, 2023 in his home. He was a retired truck driver for Virginia Homes and the widower of Elva Simmons. Mr. Simmons is survived by his son, James D. Simmons and his wife Diana of Boydton; his grandson, Jamie Simmons and his wife Jenny of Boydton; his granddaughter, Sabrina Gibson and her husband Marshall of Boydton; his fiance’, Catherine Hatcher of Chase City and his seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tiffany Chaney. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday April 11th at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Baskerville. The Family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
