Mr. Dewey Wayne Adams

Obituary:

Mr. Dewey Wayne Adams, age 69, of South Hill, died on Tuesday April 18, 2023. Wayne was a faithful husband, father and brother. Wayne was known for having the heart of a servant who dedicated his time, talent and resources to lend a hand to anyone in need. Wayne’s life was a display of kindness, generosity and compassion in both words and deeds. He was a retired employee of Philip-Morris International and a United States Air Force Veteran. Wayne is survived by his wife, Toni B. Adams of South Hill; his son, Jamie Adams and his wife Kristen of Powhatan, VA; his daughter, Dana Piper and her husband Joel of San Diego, CA; his three grandchildren: Jay Adams, Noah Adams and John Adams; his two brothers: Reverend Timothy Adams and his wife Becky of Burnet, Texas and Ted Adams and his wife Jenny of Matthews, Virginia; his three sisters: Lila Bailey and her husband Tom of Fort Myers, Florida, Brenda Cooper of Phoenix, AZ and Tammy Daniel and her husband Dale of Freeman, VA; his God son, Blake Jones and his many loving Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents: Dewey and Lorraine Adams, his 2 brothers: Ventrice Adams and John Adams, and his two sisters: Barbara Adams and Martha Gupton. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday April 25th at 11:00 A.M. in the Sanctuary of Freedom House Ministries located at 24515 Highway 47, South Hill, VA 23970. Burial will take place at 2:00 P.M. in the Veteran’s Cemetery at Amelia located at 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, VA 23002 with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors.   1. I offer my sincere condolences to Toni B Adam’s.
    I am so sorry about your loss of your precious loving husband.
    It was with a heavy heart I heard of his passing.
    I know that God will see Toni through the painful difficult journey she didn’t ask for or was prepared for.
    Her hope lives in one day she will be with Wayne once again.

  3. Toni and family, my heart surely breaks for you. Wayne was one of the most kind and generous people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We had so many wonderful memories. May our heavenly father wrap his loving arms around each and every one of you to lessen your pain. I pray for healing and comfort that only God can provide. In Jesus name I will always pray.

  4. I am so sorry to read of Wayne’s death. We started first grade at Alberta Elementary School together and rode the same school bus. He was always one of the nicest guys and a great childhood friend. Sincere condolences to Wayne’s family for your loss.

    Heaven has gain an awesome man! I know Wayne is rejoicing with his family members in the present of our beloved Lord! My prayers go out to his family and love ones. I will miss our talks about old times in Alberta! RIP my brother in Christ!
