Mrs. Elsie Toone Reid

Mrs. Elsie Toone Reid, age 93 of South Hill and formerly of La Crosse, died Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in the Hundley Center. She was a retired seamstress for Virginia Quilting and the widow of James T. Reid.
Elsie is survived by her two sons; Howard Toone and wife Becky of South Hill and James Toone of La Crosse, two sisters; Margaret Vaughan and Annie Toone both of La Crosse, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons; Bill, Leon and Aubrey Toone and a daughter Edith Toone Wright.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 7, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral Home Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. Elsie was a wonderful mom to me for a while and my dad and I truly loved her .I will miss our talks and we always told each other I love you..she was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold.sending prayers and condolences to the family.she truly left a hole in our hearts.Im so glad I got to tell you Tuesday I love you and got my hug.
