  1. Granddaughter

Condolences to Peggy Taylor the woman who by blood is my aunt. I was not notified of my grandmothers passing but you can’t keep death a secret. Obituaries are publicly published. I would like to say that after many years of attempting to make my grandmother happy I never achieved it. Once my beloved Dad Larry Hale passed away Peggy and Mildred were finished with my mother and I. I always felt confused on how bitterness and greed were supposed to be excused by your faith and beliefs. I do think my Dad would have liked the obituary to read Mildred is survived by her daughter in law Rhonda Hale the love of Larry’s life, her only grandchild Hollie Hill Broadway and her only great grandson Preston Hill. On the other hand, maybe, my Dad would have preferred we not be mentioned at all himself included given that during his last days while his wife was fighting for her life his sister could not be bothered to offer support or say goodbye to her brother. So, rest in peace and know I probably would have made the trip to say goodbye because that’s who I am. And for anyone wondering why I was not there that’s the rest of the story.

  2. I have many fond memories of Mildred. She lived around the corner from my MaMa (Mary P Crowder). She was a great neighbor and good friend. She loved her church family. Also, she made the best homemade Apple turnovers, from dried apples.
    God bless her family,
    Martha Annette Crowder-Cole
