Mr. John Blackwell "Johnny" Baisey

Obituary:

Mr. John Blackwell “Johnny” Baisey, age 70, of La Crosse, died on March 3, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. He was the retired owner and operator of his own HVAC company. Johnny was preceded in death by his son, J.T. Baisey; his parents, Clarence and Margaret Baisey and his brother Wayne Baisey. He is survived by his daughter, Cherie Hammond and her husband Chris of Chesterfield; his two grandbabies: Chelsea and Chloe; his sister, Teri Baisey of The Villages, Florida; his fiance, Linda Brooks of La Crosse; his daughter by choice, Teri Walker and his many loving family and friends. A celebration of life service will be conducted on Thursday March 7th at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time in the funeral home. After the service the family will receive friends at Johnny’s farm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Southside Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 546, South Hill, VA 23970.     Johnny B, you were not just a cousin but more like a brother and very much a true friend. God blessed me with the opportunity to spend quality time making memories with you. You carried yourself well while here and were loved by many. Rest in peace my friend and we shall meet again!!

    Johnny and I were born on the same day, started school together and graduated together. Every year I sat two seats behind him. He was a good friend and colleague. My prayers go out to the Baisey family. I would be there to wish him a fond farewell but I will be in surgery.
