Mr. Robert Edward Hostetter, age 90, of South Hill, passed away on Thursday July 23, 2026 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was a retired plumber for Hungerford and a United States Marine veteran who served during the Korean War. Mr. Hostetter is survived by his three daughters: Debbie Dix and her husband Randy of South Hill, Sharon Glasscock and her husband Jimmy of South Hill and Roberta Neal of South Hill; his six grandchildren: Walter Berry, Jr. and his wife, Sarah, Kevin Berry, Megan Palacios and her wife Lizeth, Winter Neal and her husband Tyler Peletier, Aaron Dix and his wife Katrina and Spencer Moseley; his eight great-grandchildren: Jasmine Berry, Skylar Berry, Austin Berry, Alexis Berry, Trey Moseley, Ashton Moseley, Harvey Pelletier and Rosalie Grantham, his two brothers: Carson Hostetter and his wife Joan of Georgia and Calvin Hostetter of Baskerville; his three sister-in-laws: Edna Hostetter, Catherine Hostetter and Betty Hostetter and his many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Hostetter was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Parrish Hostetter; four brothers: Bud Hostetter, J.L. Hostetter Wayne Hostetter and Ricky Hostetter; his two sisters: Charlotte Thompson and Mary Alice Parrish and his son-in-law, Carlton Neal. A funeral service will be held on Sunday July 26th at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Park with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, July 25th from 6:00 until 8:00 in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. Sharon, Debbie, and Roberta, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was such a sweet man and a wonderful friend to my dad over the years. Daddy always spoke fondly of Robert.
