Mrs. Wanda Hall Tanner

Mrs. Wanda Hall Tanner, age 67, of South Hill, passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2026. She was a retired teacher’s aid for Mecklenburg County Public Schools. She is survived by her three children: William Dale Tanner of South Hill, Christy Tanner Taylor of South Hill (Anthony) and Michael Alan Tanner of La Crosse (Stephanie) and her sister, Judy Poteat of Wise, North Carolina. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. “Rooster” Tanner, Jr. and her sister, Sandra Kay Hall. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday June 13th at 10:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Canaan Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 9:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. I lived right down the road from her we went to the same church, and she taught at my school. Me and her son micheal were good friends. She was a fine lady i send my condolences to the family
