Mr. Arnold Gordon Tucker

Mr. Arnold Gordon Tucker, age 93, of South Hill, passed away on Saturday June 13, 2026. He was a retired employee of Parker Oil, a life long member of Bethany Baptist Church in Baskerville. He also was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 79, the VFW Post 7156 and a Korean War Army Veteran. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Evans Tucker and is survived by his son, Gary Tucker and his wife Beverly of Bracy; his two daughters: Debbie T. Moore of South Hill and Angie T. Myers and her husband Jeff of Keeling; his eight grandchildren: Faith Moore, Tiffany Tucker, Matthew Moore, Kaitlyn Biggs, Madison Tucker, Skylar Ferguson, Tucker Ferguson and Kassidy Myers; his six great-grandchildren: Rylee Biggs, Beau Biggs, Collin Spence, Haze Tucker, Zander Spence and Greyson Spence; his three nephews: Barry Tucker, Scott Tucker and Jeff Tucker and his niece, Susan Buffington. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday June 17th at 11:00 A.M. in Bethany Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery, with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 A.M. until service time in the church. Following the burial, there will be a meal for family and friends in the Bethany Baptist Church Social Hall. The family graciously request that any gifts of food be brought to Bethany Baptist Church for the meal. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com. I got to know sweet Arnold when he was living with his brother Durwood….what a pair. I understand what a loss is being felt by all of the family. Prayers for healing and peace as you travel this pathway of grief.

Mr. Tucker was a sweet man. I enjoyed caring for him at the Hundley Center. He is now abiding in his heavenly home. Memory Eternal !
