Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Walter Clark, Jr., age 56, of South Hill, died Sunday July 26, 2026. He leaves behind a son, George Clark of Baskerville; his brothers, Jeff Clark of South Hill, Wayne King of Boydton, and Chuckie Clark of Henderson, NC; and his sisters, Donna Clark of LaCrosse, Sheila Clary, and Amy Markle. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Clark and his mother, Mary Ellen Matthews Ellis. Jerry worked in construction for many years. Outside of work, Jerry had a love for the open road, enjoying riding everything from Harleys to his scooter. He was the life of the party and enjoyed socializing with family and friends. He enjoyed living life to its fullest. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM, at Palmer Springs Community Center. So sad to hear of your passing. We had some really good times together, with Jeff also. Y’all two were like brothers to me in our teen years. If memory serves me correct,Jerry drove me home after I fractured my collar bone at Henderson skating rink in the eighties. I cant think about anything but good times. Love you and Jeff,both.
