Mr. Charlie Junior Pulley

Mr. Charlie Junior Pulley known by all as “Charlie Buck”, age 90, of Brodnax, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at home, with his family by his side. He was a retired machine mechanic for the former Brodnax Mills. “Charlie Buck” was happiest playing cards, growing vegetables, working on something in his shop, watching a ballgame or nascar racing on television, telling great stories about times gone by, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Bottoms Pulley; his parents, Emmett and Jewel Pulley and his two sisters: Nellie Mae Sculthorpe and Mattie Lee Pierce. He is survived by his brother, William “Booney” Pulley of Baskerville; his son, Carl Pulley and his wife Anne of Brodnax; his four grandchildren: Tiffany P. Dotti and her husband, Mike, of Brodnax, Kyle Pulley and his wife, Stephanie, of South Hill, Patrick Senter of Brodnax, and Sherry Stanley and her husband, Matthew, of New Castle; his five great-grandchildren: Jeremy Bottoms and his fiancée, Stephanie, Evan Dotti, Isaiah Stanley, Ryan Pulley and his significant other, Arrester “ReRe” Mayo, and Arianna Pulley and his one great-great grandchild: Sy’Rinity Pulley. A private graveside service will be held in Crestview Memorial Park on Thursday October 8th. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brodnax Volunteer Fire Department at 724 Piney Pond Road, Brodnax, VA 23920. Online condolences may be made through our website, www.crowderhitecrews.com.
