Peggy Hale Taylor

Mrs. Peggy Darlene Hale Taylor, age 67, of La Crosse, Virginia, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026 at Warren Hills Nursing Home in Warrenton, North Carolina. Peggy was a social worker for many years and was dedicated to working with battered women and children, placing them in safe homes, touching the lives of countless families of Ahoskie and Hartford, Co. Peggy graduated Park View High School Class of 1977 and attended Olive Branch Baptist Church. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Mise Hale and Mildred Toone Hale; and a brother, Larry Hale. She is survived by numerous cousins. A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2026 at LaCrosse Cemetery. Online condolences may be made on our website at www.crowderhitecrews.com. Peggy and I were good friends growing up. As we got older we lost touch with each other. I was able to reconnect with her when her cousin Tom told me she was at Pine View. I went to see her and I was so happy to sit down and talk to her. We talked about old times and enjoyed each other’s company for a few hours. I was hoping to see her again when she was able to get back to Pine View, but God had other plans for her. May she rest in peace. Peggy, I am so glad we were able to see each other again after so many yrs.
