Mrs. Mary Writtenberry Acree

Mrs. Mary Writtenberry Acree, age 83, of Brodnax, passed away on Sunday October 11, 2026 in her home, with her family by her side. She is survived by her six children: Kenneth Writtenberry of Blackridge, Deborah Edmonds of Bracey, Diane Morris of Bracey, George Acree of Brodnax, Wanda Hodges of Blackridge and Crystal Kimble of Wake Forest, North Carolina; her sister, Molly Toone of La Crosse; her many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and her two special care givers: Barbara and Suzette. Mrs. Acree was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Acree; her two children: Robert Acree and Deloris Acree; her two sisters: Bonnie Bailey and Frances Kidd; her granddaughter, Cierra Fuller; and her parents, Martin and Lizzy Carroll. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday October 14th at 3:00 in Canaan Cemetery.
