Sending Prayers
Forty-seven years ago, I met Troy Glenn Johnson, one of three Bluestone Junior High School ninth graders whose camaraderie evoked images of Dumas’s The Three Musketeers. Troy and his friends won a place in my heart strong enough that I have always wished them and him happiness, love, and success throughout the multiple decades that have passed since we last saw each other.
Troy and I reconnected through Facebook messages ten years ago, and I enjoyed hearing about his welcoming Christ into his life; his career as a chef; his work with those in need; and his love for his parents, son, and wife. Troy also reminded me of moments with my father and older sister, and he offered favorite recipes for my younger son who enjoys cooking.
Troy always glossed over his own health issues but offered support and kindness to me during my own.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, may the love you shared and the faith you hold strengthen you. I send my prayers upward for all who love your son.
James and Carol may the love of friends give you comfort and the Love of God give you Peace.
So sorry Carol. I know the pain you have in your heart. God will get you through. You never get over this but God will help you get through it.
RIP brother
Troy worked for me for many years in my restaurants. I learn a lot from him on the cooking side. Always had fun, RIP Brother, see ya again one day
