My deepest sympathy
Charlie you were a good friend all through school
We also talked and laughed alot of nights at the Horseshoe
You and Doug can continue those conversations in Heaven
Love to Joyce and family
Condolences to the Taylor family
Charlie was more than just an insurance agent to me and his many policyholders. I was blessed to work with him for many years as an employee of an insurance company he represented. He was a fighter for everyone. He loved his Savior Jesus Christ and i know where he is now. My heart goes out to his wife Joyce and children and prayers for strength and comfort. Till we meet again my friend

My condolences to Charlie’s family. I’ve had auto and home coverage with Taylors for about 30 years. Everytime I came into the office, if Charlie was there, I always enjoyed talking with him. I was surprised to learn that he knew my dad. Charlie would always ask me how my dad was doing. South Hill’s loss is heaven’s gain.
Love some Charlie Mort , what laughs and life we have have done. No Doubt in Jesus arms Today …

Mort, I had planned to visit you while we were in South Hill on Saturday,
but you had already left for your Forever Home. I want You to know that I have got some Great Memories that I would not have had You not taken me under Your Arm ( and oh what an arm You have for all that the privilege to know you). You carried and still carry us all. I could see Your hand and that arm swinging the hammer of faith, building rooms in God’s mansion for all that You have shown a way by a Your Faith in God , Your Love of Family, and the Helping Hand. I am truly Blessed to have God and You in my life.
I Love You Charlie Mort.

Will be missed greatly, was a good friend.
Joyce, please know that you & your family are in my heart & in my prayers. When ever I came home to S Hill I always stopped by the office to see Charlie. We spent time talking about school memories, his love of football at Cowan with his close friends, & we always discussed God’s love for His children. I have not been back home in several years, but these memories I will always treasure.
Sorry to hear about charlie..he was a friend to many and will surely be missed by family and those who knew him..fly high my friend..

Mort thru the years we have shared a life time of memories. Some for fun some were joyful and some sad but none with out the love and compassion for each other. We have done so many things togather. We could write a book. Just wanted to say you were my friend and loved. See you again another day 🙏🏻
A Life Well Lived
Joyce, I’m so sorry. Charlie Mort was so full of life. Our strongest connection was through sports at PVHS but would see him occasionally when passing through South Hill. It was like we were still in high school. Laughing and joking about crazy things we did then. This is how I will remember a dear friend.
My condolences and heart go out to Charlie Mort’s family and friends. Oh, what a guy and I feel blessed to have known him my entire life. He was so good to me and others. I played on his 6-0 championship midget football team, he taught me physical education at Jr. High and gave me a job racking balls at pool hall. He was a man’s man. I know everyone who was often in contact with him will miss Charlie Mort Taylor, immensely. RIP my friend.
